Removing extra spaces in quotes

Everytime a post is quoted, FT inserts some extra carriage returns at the bottom. It's incredibly annoying and I remove them whenever I can.

Can this be fixed in a future version?

But when it gets nested a couple levels, it really gets bad (I did this for demonstration purposes, if it were nested a couple levels it'd be really bad).
