Removing existing home alarm

I want to remove an existing home alarm console from a previous homeowner. There are no notches on the sides or on the front, as shown. There are two small openings on the bottom, however, I've poked it and nothing came apart. The system is not functioning.
 
it probably slides into some notches... try forcing it to slide upward/downward or sideways. 😉 Glad I could narrow that down for ya.
