Removing Det Drivers

I installed WindowsXP Pro and some kind of det drivers installed with it. I want to install det 23.11 drivers. I got a program called NVcleaner that cleans out the registry from all det entries in ur registry and system. But the program says i have to set my video card to standard VGA. How do i do that in windowsXP pro?
