Removing Athlon 1.33GHz/Taisol CGK742092 to replace MoBo

How do I remove a 1.33GHz Athlon with a Taisol CGK742092 in order to replace the motherboard? I guess I will have to first remove the Taisol heatsink/fan and then the CPU. Since the computer has been running for a couple of days will I have to remove the thermal pad and apply new thermal paste?

Thanks for the responses.

yep...use a flat head screw driver...hold the hs down nice and even and apply pressure downward...and push outward...it should pop up..and than slowly take it off...might be sticky...you'll need thermal paste to reapply...if it looks kinda scratchy...lap it ... if you are oc'ing...
