Created by one of our very own, adlep has been working on this website for 6 months. I think this is a great step forward in increasing the life of our beloved video cards.

Please check it out and provide feedback in the forums of the website.

Website Link

Digg Link

It has been determined that adlep's site is considered a commercial venture and as such if he wants to promote it he will need to buy ad space like anyone else. Please don't promote his site here, otherwise we will be forced to consider it spam and act accordingly.

Give it a try. There are many people still using onboard graphics or mediocre cards like a 7200gs. Dont be 'one of those people' that lists it for $100 or some price where buying a new one would be more logical.

Yeah, give it a go! What do you have to lose? When I get my old card back from my friend, I'm going to put it up on here.

That's my point. It's clearly worth less than $100, yet when I bought it new it was around $350 IIRC. Makes more sense to hold onto it and use it as a backup I would think. We will see. :)

That's how all computer tech kinda works... A 2500$ machine from twenty years ago is not going to be worth even 250$ now.

Hmm, the site creator seems to have given himself positive feedback. I realize that's just an example, but I wonder if there're mechanisms in place to prevent real users from opening "shill" accounts.

Well, if you are a responsible buyer, hopefully you will look at their heatware or Ebay account feedback. That is a good question though. I'll find out about that for you.

From the website:

Such practices are not acceptable and they will lead to a prompt removal of the offender's account and perma-ban.

Once the user is deleted all of his active transactions also disappear unless the item is in a deal pending status already...

Also, as it is right now, users have a quota of 14 transactions per month. System counts every sale entry done by the user. It resets every month. This is done to prevent potential spamming.

Lastly, there is captcha that will limit registrations of spambots.

Regards,
A

Also for people creating multiple accounts and trying to give themselves feedback:

It can be easily tracked in the admin tools. You basically flag those members that have different usernames originating from the same IP address.

A

("A" is the creator of the website BTW)

My computer now is barely worth $250. I realize tech stuff goes down in value, but lately its been crazy.

Did you only look at picture books growing up?

Warning: This is just a sample listing that showcases the VGATrader.com engine. The card is actually not YET for sale.
