Remove Pop-ups in IE5??

(Posted this in tech support and got no response; possibly wrong forum so I'm posting it here)

Does anyone know how to totally disable IE's support for the Javascript command that starts pop-up browsers? I do not want to always run an external program that just closes it; I want them disabled. I don't care if I can't access certain web sites because I consider them not worthy if they have pop-ups.

I figure it can be done by a reg-hack but I haven't heard of one.

I hate those stupid web sites where like 40 thousand windows pop-up. There should already be an option in IE that does that.

I'm interested in this too, I dont want any window to open without me clicking on something.
