Remove permanent ink on clothes?

As a bargain hunter, I like to shop at outlet stores. Some outlet stores use permanent marker to cross the the tag or mark the logo with black ink. Is there any way to remove the ink without damage the original color?

If it is permanent ink it will dye the fabric and you will not be able to remove it. Why not cut the tag? Is the name thet important to you?
