Remove Common Name Toolbar

Hi, a friend was complaining about IE getting hijacked, bad search results, ect... so I put Spybot S&D on his system and it found pages full of offenders. Among the list of ones it couldn't fix was 'Common Name Toolbar'. So we had Spybot start at startup as it recommends, but it still couldn't fix it. So then I rebooted into safe mode, re-scanned, still couldn't remove it. Not sure how to get rid of this mofo... anyone have experience with this evil little bastard?

I have heard that it runs on two processes. Rumor has it, that you may have to boot into safe mode to remove it manualy.
