About a year ago I had this nasty on my system, now a friend has it and for the life of me I can't the removal instructions. I know it took alot to do it but now when I search here or google I get loads of yyy used as wildcards or the ones that actually list yyy removal tool are links to more spyware with popups galore. Anyone out there know where to find this, the help would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Adaware, Spybot and MS Antispyware, all three wont touch it. I remember it took booting into recovery mode with the windows disk and removal of some files that are locked so that even Admin in safe mode cant delete them 🙁 . I just cant remember which files and registry entries need to be removed.

Never ran across that one, and I do 12 spyware cleanings a week.

Did you run Microsoft Anti-spyware in Safe Mode? Doing spyware cleanings in normal mode is a waste of time. Also tell MS AS to do a FULL scan of the whole drive, not just a quick scan.

Did you disable all BHOs before doing the spyware cleaning? If not, most trojans will re-infect you as soon as you open an explorer window.
