Are there any cases that are similiar to the Chieftec Dragon or Antec Performence series that HAVE a removable motherboard tray? I've been trying to find one online with no luck.
is it that important? the chieftec dragons are very large and open so working in them is rather easy, cables etc are unlikely to be in the way since theres simply so much room. the side door has a handle latch so access is instant, it couldn't be much more convenient.
eh, i'm not sure but the aspire alien might, i forget.

there are none. or else, i would have purchased one already. there are cases that size that have them though. removable trays are harder and harder to find =(
The new Ahanix Master is supposed to have a removable mobo tray but it doesn't appear to be the type that slides out thru the back, cards and all... Some InWin models also have removable mobo trays.
.bh.
Impulse2k,
My impression is that Lian Li cases have removable trays but I have never used one. As
for Chieftec/Chenming type cases; many people buy these cases and put their own name on
them, but I don't know of any with removable trays. Mine has been fine, but the optical
drive is a push fit as opposed to being held in with screws so I am careful about pushing
the tray closed. Good luck.
none of the cheiftec dragon clones have a removable mobo tray. TBH though, I dont see any reason to limit yourself to a case that is similar to a Dragon, there's plenty of other good chasis (like has been said, have a peek at Lian Li).
ok real reason for posting:
Anyone with a Dragon or dragon clone tried to fit a 92mm fan in the hard-drive holder? I reckon it just might fit if I take the plastic fan holder out and just jam it in there. My case is a Coolermaster ATC-710 if it matters, but the actual chassis is made by Cheiftec.
why would you do that? isn't the hd holder about 80mm? the 92mm wouldn't do much more then the 80mm., the way i improved airflow was to take off the front bezel and hack off the metal grill over the fan area. its redundant considernig theres a bezel over it.
