Hey guys,

I'm looking to replace my close to a decade old CM ATCS case. This thing is awesome, but starting to show it's age.. such as no slots for 120mm + fans.. etc. What I like best though is that mobo tray, working on this thing is soooo easy. upgrading and such is actually fun..haha.

That sexy looking Corsair 550D is tempting, but no removable tray :(. Been digging around alot, but can't find anything that will really satisfy my case needs.

What I want is:

1. Plain, but elegant look.
2. Full alluminum build.
3. slots for at least 1 large fan (120mm+) in front, on top, and back
4. Slide out Mobo Tray
5. Could be mid - full atx.

What are my options guys?

I found a few to check out, though not all of them meet your criteria.

Apevia X-QPack
Apevia X-Gear
Raidmax Smilodon
Silverstone Temjin (best choice, but $$$)

What's your budget, and/or what are you most willing to compromise on? Meeting all of these will be probably be impossible to do for the price of a 550D.

Just mod it. That is what I did to my old Chieftec Dragon and I love it. I put two 120mm in the front. It wasn't hard at all and that was the first time I had used my Dremal to cut aluminum. The next time I change the MB out I am going to cut holes in the tray for cable management and cpu heatsink mounting. Besides if you mess up really bad you can still buy the silverstone.

I like that idea. Those old cheiftecs were awesome affordable beasts back in the day.
