I have 3 systems that I build over a year ago, all using removable hdd to transfer info, I equipped each with a 1 mounted, and 1 removable. recently I reloaded win 98 on 2 of them to clean things up and remove wierdness. The problem is that the hdd,s in the 2 systems that were reloaded will work between themselves, and will work in the 3rd, but the hdd's from the 3rd will not work in the other 2 ?????

Windows will not.. did once after I changed a setting in Bios..Block Mode I think it was, but Win wanted to format
all are Maxtor

all hdd,s are 5Gig or larger,
all were formatted using Maxtor "MaxBlast" software.
The master/slave settings are correct,
and I have tried every possible cable connection/position/master/slave
anyone have a clue as to where I screwed up??
