Remoting a Windows tablet in landscape mode?

I'm having some trouble remoting my Windows tablet in landscape mode.

In portrait mode, it looks as you'd expect:

However, when I physically rotate the tablet to landscape mode, this happens:

The screen looks perfectly normal on the tablet itself, but TightVNC rotates it and cuts off half of it.

The same thing happens if I try to connect to the tablet when it's already in landscape mode. I've also tried the ctrl+shift+arrow keys to try and get it to display properly, but it always looks wrong.

Since Remote Desktop isn't part of Windows Home for some reason, I'm using TightNC. Are there any other tools that work better, or some way to configure it to show the screen properly regardless of orientation?

Have you tried Chrome remote desktop?

Edit: I ended up trying it myself, Chrome Remote Desktop into my Winbook tablet with Windows 10. It displays whatever orientation is displayed on the tablet. No problem switching orientation back and forth.

That worked great! 🙂
Kind of ironic that you have to use a Google product because Microsoft decided not to enable existing functionality for this, but oh well...
