I had an unfortunate accident and it wouldn't turn on anymore, so I couldn't wipe my phone before I sent it out for repair.

Is there any way to remotely wipe the device? I already started the process on my work Exchange account, but I don't think I had work email setup on it because I am constantly ROM'ing the crap out of it.

Any way to do it via Google? It's not that big a deal I guess, I already changed my passwords to anything that matters. It's just annoying that someone would be able to go through my crap when it does turn on.

Also, it doesn't matter if my SIM card sits outside a phone for a few days right? It won't deactivate or anything?

Is there something on the phone that you don't want the repair shop to see? If not, I wouldn't worry about it. The most that any legitimate repair facility will do is turn the device on and test the basic functions to make sure they are working. They won't look at your "stuff" unless you ask them to.

Did you install a modded email APK that doesn't enforce security policies or something? Mine forces me to put an unlock pin on my phone and stores all exchange account data encrypted, and it's just the stock android mail APK (in CM10).

Without having the appropriate app installed on your phone you won't be able to remotely wipe.
You're fine with leaving the SIM card out. It won't deactivate anything.

Yeah, I decided I don't really care if they see something or not. I've changed my passwords on everything and I just want it back ASAP. It was supposed to arrive there today, but it got delayed and will show up tomorrow.

Hope they replace it soon. I am dying to get it back already.
