Remotely controlling a MAC from a PC?

I need to remotely control a Mac computer using a WinXP pc and would like to do it for free if possible. Realvnc has a Mac enterprise version that can be used for the Mac server side, but with a license cost of $50.

Is there a freeware way to do this?
