Remotely control volume from TV rca output

Hi, I'm wondering if there is any relatively inexpensive device (short of an avr) that will let me remotely control the volume from the fixed rca audio output from my tv to my external speakers.

I have a semi sloppily set up, with a powered subwoofer and bookshelf speakers/ amp connected together which then go into the TV. Which isn't the worst thing in the world, except for the fact that I have to adjust the volumes by hand separately if I can't control it remotely as a whole.

My main problem is that I'm in a full leg cast for the next several months so it's kind of an issue for me to get up and change the volumes by hand...

So all this said, is there anything that has a remote control and can go somewhere in between the speakers and the rca output which would let me adjust the volume of whats coming from the TV?

I have done that for years by going through a separate sound system which has a remote.
