I work in a big office building with thousands of computers connected to it, and I don't think I can get a port forwarded from my comp..so is there any way to connect remotely to it?

You'd be wise to take that one to the IT crew. It isn't kosher to punch holes in the firewall without their explicit consent, because that would be a serious security vulnerability. It's their butt in the hotseat if your home PC lets worms loose on their network or something.

See if they have VPN access where you can VNC/RDP securely into your work PC.

Get VPN access to your company network, then use MS NetMeeting to remote your office PC.
You can type conf into Start > Run on just about any XP machine to set it up.
You have to set up your work PC to do desktop sharing, which does slow down the video even when your not actively using it...

I doubt the employees have Admin powers on their desktops in an environment like that. Unless the IT staff likes nonstop excitement, anyway :D
