I'm having problems with a Vista machine that is sitting on a SBS 2003 Domain. The problem is that I cannot log into this machine with any login credentials including administrator.

I've added all users to the remote users on that workstation by using the "Remote -> Select Remote Users" options. So all of the accounts do have access to the station.

I am able to see the workstation listed on the "Connect to Client Desktops" list and can even bring up the vista login screen of the machine. It's just that no username/password will work logging into the machine (Error: Invalid username or password). As far as I can tell, the settings on this machine are the same as all the others which can be logged into, no problem.

I've attempted adding a user to the machines local "Remote -> Select Remote Users" table but still can't log in.

Attempts to remote have been done from both inside and outside of the LAN on both XP and Vista.

Any ideas?

Okay, I solved this with RebateMongers help. All of the other PCs and server default to the correct "shortened" domain name. For whatever reason this is the full domain name with the last character cut off the end. I've actually never encountered this problem before. Does anyone have an explanation?

Example:

Domain name is: MyDomain
Domain name I have to provide with Domain\Username format: MyDomai\Username

Try removing it from the domain and re-adding it back to the domain.

I was thinking maybe the trust between the client and the domain may have been broken some how.
