Remote Turn On with an Impreza Factory Radio...

Hey all,
Another car audio question for ya all. I'm helping a buddy of mine install a subwoofer in his otherwise stock Impreza WRX. Everything is wired up and ready to go, except I need a lead (from the factory head unit) for my remote turn on.

I used this wiring diagram to help with tapping the speaker wires for signals, and I see that there is supposed to be a wire (spot 14) for a remote turn on; but of course there isn't a wire there with the factory radio. Anyone else know of a good/easy source for a remote turn on?

Thanks for any help

I think you can splice a wire into the switched ignition wire (usually red, IIRC? Someone correct me if I'm wrong) that will do the same thing as the blue remote turn on lead. I know that there are red and yellow wires - one is constant +12v, and the other is switched. Not 100% on which is which though.

EDIT: power antenna lead would work too, (I think)if you had that to spare.

EDIT #2: Um, heh...actually I forgot that the power antenna would only work if it was in use (i.e. radio was on). At least, that's the way it is in my car. So NVM about that....😱

Thanks, yeah I found on a WRX forum that I need to use the #10 lead, (yellow/green wire). It's the acc - switched power lead.
