Remote shutter release for Canon 5D mkII.

Please suggest an inconspicuous wireless remote (radio transmit) shutter release with auto focus function for natural candid travel photograpy. Long range is not a requirement.

Thanks

Canon's LC-5 wireless remote control does everything you specify, but it ain'tcheap - in the $400+ range. You might find a used one on E-Bay.

I use the wired one with extension cable on my 5D MKII. Mucho less wampum!

If there is a 3rd party wireless, I have no personal knowledge of it. I imagine that to work focusing, etc., I would stick with Canon. B&H has many made by Freewave. Sample:

Yeah, I did indeed miss that one. Good catch! The price is sure right. 🙂

But, it is IR and that means it must have LOS (Line of Sight.) Op needs RF.

D'oh. Figured there was a good reason that it hadn't been mentioned.

I know a lot of sports shooters use Pocket Wizards. They're pricey, but have the added benefit of being able to trigger off-camera flashes as well, if you're into that kind of thing.

Otherwise, like Corky said, you're probably looking at a third-party system. Last time I was at a Calumet Photo, asking about the RC-6, salesman suggested this as an alternative:
