Remote shutdown Windows 7 from Windows 8 cmd

I just got a WIndows 8 tablet that I would like to remote shutdown after I'm done using it (as a media server in bed :biggrin🙂.

The Windows 7 desktop: Administrator account activated, no password. Windows Firewall remote desktop management enabled, remote registry in services.msc enabled.

The Windows 8 tablet, same LAN Wifi network, no homegroup (which I dislike btw) and everytime I try either " shutdown -r -m \\MydesktopPC" or "shutdown -i" and try to add MydesktopPC to the shutdown list, it doesn't work.

Is there a way to make this work? Three things I'm not willing to do to make this work:
1. I won't disable the Administrator account for a normal account
2. I won't set a password for the Admin account
3. I don't want 3rd party software.

Is it possible?

Thanks
