I was given this instruction to help my Win XP pro machine browser crashing problems:
a. Click "Start" and click "Run".

b. Type "services.msc" (without the quotation marks) and press Enter.

c. Double-click the "Remote Procedure Call (RPC)" service in the right pane and click "Logon" tab.

d. Choose "Local System account" and check the box "Allow service to interact with desktop".

e. Click "Apply" and restart the computer and test the issue.

I was also told to REGSVR32 six DLLs.

What does this RPC setting change do?

Local System account is what RPC uses by default, IIRC... so I don't know what the point of that would be, unless there is some advantage to having RPC interact with you, that I'm not aware of...

As for registering six DLLs... who knows... we would need to know what DLLs they are, and what they supposedly do.

lol I'm no help tonight :(
