Remote power on/off/reset

I'm looking for a mobo that I can not only power on remotely, but power off or power cycle as well when the OS locks up.

I've read about Intel AMT, Intel Remote View, and some others but am not sure which are current and what I need to look for in a mobo and cpu to get it to work.

Any pointers?
