Is there any programs that will let you remote access your computer via a web browser?

I would like to be able to remote into my home computer without the need to install anything on the computers I'm using when I'm traveling.

Sorta like how WebUI works on uTorrent?

Logmein try the free version works great and you don't need to install anything on the remote computer.

I see they have a free version which is cool and all but I'm looking more for something I can install on my end and use without a 3rd party service involved.

I've used VNC for years. It's easy to set up, relatively secure. Heck I work for the federal government, and our IT people use the Pay version of it. But it's not web based, like the OP was asking for...

I could also work with something that runs off a USB flash drive on the client side. I have one on my keychain and its always with me. I just don't want to have to carry around an install CD/DVD and besides, most people probably wouldn't want me to install stuff on there computers.

Now a USB compatible one would work OK too though.

Ok, I found something that works sorta like LogMeIn but it does not require a monthly fee.

I found it while searching for VNC... It's called Real VNC Server Enterprise Edition. Technically, it's pay software but umm... Anyway it has a built in JAVA console for web browser access and requires no software to be installed on the computer your connecting from other then JAVA.

Now because I use Charter, and my IP changes, I've setup an account with No-Ip.com and I'm running a small program that updates my IP changes to then as my IP changes and I can always access my computer by typing in something like http://kdogg363.hosthere.com:1000 if port 1000 is where I'm running Real VNC.

Just passing on my find. Seems to work good for what I need. Not as many features as LogMeIn but hey, you can access your data etc.

Logmein doesn't require a monthly fee. The fee is only for certain features (like sound coming over and file transfer), but otherwise it's free.

Yeah, I've been using it, but, I also meant you don't have to use a 3rd party service. Sorry I wasn't more clear.
