seems I dropped my old Xbox media remote one too many times. Will any Logitech remote work with the old Xbox (specifically XBMC). I'd like to get 1 remote to control the TV, cable box and the box.

Yep, I'm using my Harmony 550 with my xbox/xbmc setup. Once you get your hamony setup the way you want, it rocks! There are also mods that will allow you to remote turn on your xbox. http://xir.us/
