I'm not sure if this is the right category, but it didn't seem appropriate for the home theater section.

Basically I want a product w/remote to operate my computers dvd player and that has a t.v. tuner. I don't need a hd tuner, just something to grab basic cable off a splitter with my cable modem. I guess I'd prefer to use Windows Media Center preferably.
I have Vista Ultimate and Power dvd. I'd prefer an internal card.
The intention is to ride my bicycle trainer indoors, watch some training dvd's I have, and not have to git my fat arse up to change from a dvd to t.v. etc.

Anyone have any experience with this type of product?

Mmm, I'd say that General Hardware might be more fitting.

Tuners from Hauppage (a bit expensive) or Avermedia or Onair sometimes come with remotes. Check for reviews.

If you already have Vista Premium or Ultimate, you can just add a Media Center remote. There are many versions of these. Some are by Microsoft and some are from other vendors. The older MCE2005 versions will work fine, but a "Vista" remote adds the red/blue/yellow/green buttons (generally for HD usage).

Here's a few at Newegg:

You could also try ebay for a cheap Microsoft version. Just be sure to get one packaged with a receiver. Not all of them come with a receiver.
