Remote for HTPC

I recently got a tuner card and SageTV PVR software. My card came with a Cyberlink remote with a generic USB IR receiver. I got Girder to set up this remote for use with Sage and other applications but I have no idea how to set it up. The big hurdle is choosing what device type this is. USB-UIRT, Ira, HID, the choices are endless and none of them seem to work. No matter what type I choose Girder just seems to accept only the basic remote buttons and it thinks they're keyboard commands.

Anyone know how to set up such a remote? Thanks.

Sorry, Sage for the ultimate win. I played around a ton with both and Sage wins hands down pretty much.
