Win2k Pro sp2 clients submitting print jobs to a Win2k Server sp2 box. Kyocera-Mita fs-1800 printers.
So far, out of 240 users, about 25 have submitted print jobs that show up as "Remote downlevel document" and these seem to be the only thing that hang the print spooler. M$ Q137065 has this problem, but our case doesn't match thier description: The users don't show up as Anon or NT Authority - they show up as who they are.
Also, according to the article "This will only occur if you redirect LPT1: using the "Net Use" command"
We're not using Net Use. The printer is not mapped to LPT1, it's its own port.
The only other references I've found to this problem involve Command AV, Dr. Solomon's AV, 9x boxes submitting the print jobs, or DOS-based apps submitting the jobs. None of those conditions exist here.
Anyone have any ideas on this?
