Remote Desktop

Is there anyway to use the built in remote desktop in windows to control the display? I'm using a media center computer hooked up to a TV, and I'd like to be able to use a laptop to remotely connect and control the screen without it logging out the user on the computer.

Any suggestions?

I understand how to remotely connect to a computer, but I don't want to remotely connect, I want to remotely control the active session.

RDP can do it with a support request ticket.

There is a way to make it basically grant access to you (computer you're controlling from) to be able to do an interactive session.

But I don't recall right now how to make that automated.

To manually make it work, go onto the computer you wish to control without blanking/locking the screen and click on start, help, and look for "Windows Remote Assistance" it'll have you create a "key" or something like that and basically you click on link it makes and it'll let you interactively control the system without locking the screen.

It'd be a lot easier in the end for just home use to simply use real vnc.
