Remote Desktop Trouble Connecting

tested connection at home and at my friends work place, but I am not able to connect from my work. What could be the problem? Did my work block Port 3389? Can I check which ports are blocked? Is there any way around this?

It's most likely blocked, you could try asking your system administrator...

I wouldn't reccomend trying to get around it unless you are prepared to lose your job over it.

sounds like that port is blocked and the only way I know of to check it out would be to sign-in to the switch. I don't suppose you have the admin password do you? - I found this page informative, btw - and I just found this article.. let us know what kind of luck you have

It would be done on the router, not the switch
