I'm looking for something like the way Window servers has the Terminal Services Administrative Mode, but I would like it on Windows workstations.

As it we use VNC to connect to a workstation, but that interrupts the users work, and if I have to install hardware or some software, I must log them off and log on as an administrator which takes even more time away from there work.

Any ideas? I'm surprised if there isn't an opensource software for this, but I haven't found it yet.

It's easy....in *nix.

With windows, the best you could do would be scripting and then using something like Altiris to run the script/install. I have done this before, the task can be scheduled in the Deployment Server with run as credentials.

There was actually an SP2 beta out that let you enable multiple remote desktop logins from the registry. For a while people were copying DLLs forward from that version just to keep siupport for it, it was funny. I think there's a program called WinConnect Server that does this as well.
