I am trying to get my desktop and server both setup on my LAN with RDP. The server is all setup using terminal services, etc. I configured the router to port-forward RDP (3389) to the servers static IP.
I am heading out of town for a few days and want to have access to my desktop also but obviously I can't port-forward the same port used by RDP so I checked out MS's KB and noticed you can change the listening port on a PC for RDP. So I did this to my desktop, then I am using my IP
ORT# to connect per the KB instructions, yet no luck the laptop I am trying to login with just times out and says the computer is unavailable. I have RDP turned on and my user account has access.
Has anyone had experience with changing the port to know of suggestions?
