remote desktop from linux into an xp machine

Mo0o

Running fedora at work (not really my choice) and I was wondering if it was possible to connect to a XP machine at home?

rdesktop should do it. Also there are gnome and kde specific versions of it.

It uses Remote Desktop features from WinXP. You need to be using Windows XP Pro. Home doesn't cut it, I beleive.

Otherwise you can use VNC.

Yep, I've done it. My experience with it was rather slow in Ubuntu as comparted to Remote Desktop from another Windows box.

Just want to add that Windows MCE also comes with Remote Desktop.

Haven't tried rdesktop with Windows's remote access application. I've used tightvnc, ultravnc, and realvnc though. All good except realvnc was limited in my case.
