Remote Desktop Asking for a password

im tring to acess my computer downstairs and it asking for a password but my login downstairs doesnt have a password on the account both systems are using xp

its most likly the password (Administrator) that you setup when you installed the OS.

Yes, the account that you are trying to log in to with Remote Desktop must have a password set up.

If you are only using one user account on WXP and want it to automatically log in after you have set a password (instead of it going to the Welcome screen) go to Start -> Run and type "control userpasswords2" and uncheck the "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer" then enter the password for the account you want to always log in 🙂
