'Remote Control' Software for Monitor?

Hi all,

I have a curious question: does anyone know of an app that will allow you to access the controls on your monitor from your keyboard? I ask because I have a wireless kb and sometimes I'd rather just change settings, inputs, etc. remotely rather than getting up and futzing with the on-monitor controls. I assume that this is a big 'no' as I can't seem to find anything even resembling such a thing on Google/Clusty/Download.com etc.

Any help is most-appreciated so that I may continue being as lazy as possible ;)

Most of the setting available on your monitor can also be controlled by your graphics card. Check your graphic card's control panel in Windows and see if it has the options you want.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I more want to be able to access things like input chanes. At my workstation I have a PS3/360/Wii all hooked up to my Dell 2405 and I'd like to be able to toggle from DVI to component, etc., with a kb shortcut as opposed to the buttons *on* the monitor. Thanks again :)

Then you get a KVM swtich with on-screen/key board control if you're looking to switch inputs

no no no
i think i know what hes talking about
well you could set up a small robot that would respond the the remote commands and would apply pressure to the buttons..
i don't think there is any software that can do that but i am not sure.

have you installed the setup discs that came with your monitor..
do they install software ?
if they do you could macro the keys on your keyboard to do that for you
