Remote control options/experiences

Some of the SoundBlaster Platinum cards come with remotes, and I think X10.com sells some. Are these any good? Are their other options?

It'd be nice to control Winamp from anywhere in the house, but I don't know if the software that comes with these remotes are versatile enough to use with most apps.

I know Sun818 sells Packard Bell remotes that can be used w/ WinAmp & your DVD software program - pretty cheap too

Keyspan USB IR remote... sweet little thing, i've been thinking about getting one for a few weeks now...

Yeah, I just read a positive review of that at Computers.com.

It's too bad they don't make an radio frequency model, so I could change the music from anywhere in the house.
