Remote control for media center?

So I have Vista Ultimate (spank you MSDN), and I use my big TV as a monitor a lot at home to work on stuff. Well I loaded up the media center part of this for the first time and I LOVE it.

However, it would be pretty cool if I had a remote to navigate menus. Even better, I would like to use my universal remote to navigate. So I did a search on IR ports I could buy (usb? pci or pcix?) and pretty much came up with TV tuner cards. I already have a built in HD-DVR via Comcrap, so no need to use the DVR part from there.

So how can I use a remote for the PC? I can live with another remote, but if I could download the config for my harmony that would be nice. Should I just get a crappy TV tuner card that has a remote?

You can buy a MC remote separately. However, the remote that I got with my Hauppauge PVR150 works fine for what I have tried. But then, I have not learned too much about MC yet.

So, what will a MCE remote let you do that a tuner's remote won't.

To be honest, nothing. I really just wanted a USB or PCI plugin that let my PC have an IR port 😉
