Remote Control for Digital Cable Box

I want to be able to schedule recordings off of my SCientific Atlanta Explorer 8000 digital cable box from my PC. What is the best IR blaster out there. I plan on useing either beyond tv or sage tv for the front end. I know I have a DVR in my cable box but I want to take my files with me on the road.

I've used the USB-UIRT without a problem. It's directly compatible with BTV, and I'm almost certain SageTV supports it as well. It also has an interface for programming it through Girder.
