Is it possible or is there a way to use window xp pro's Remote Desktop COnnection to remotely go into another computer while the user of that computer is still using it and not have them log out. Basically what I need is to remotely administer my brother in law's shop computer. Since he sometimes uses the computer I don't want to have him logout everytime I need to do something to the computer from my home.

Oops i think this goes to the Network forum. Sorry.

After doing some more searching on google I found out that windows SP2 before it became final had the ability to have 2 or more sessions (one local and one or more remote desktop connections), but they decided to remove the function when SP2 was released as a final product. This place has a patch to make it work again. http://sala.pri.ee/terminal-server-patch/

This will greatly help people who are administering windows media center from another computer without interrupting media center functions and or having to turn on the tv or monitor to administer the machine.

It's a great help, but you are violating the EULA when you do that.
