I have an XP computer at home and another XP computer about 4 miles away. Both computers are on the Time Warner Roadrunner system. What software could I use to allow me full computer access remotely? Mainly I need to run Outlook, Word, and Excel remotely. What are my choices?
 
If both systems are XP Pro, then use Remote Desktop. Otherwise, give UltraVNC a try. Also, make sure the appropriate ports are forwarded.
