My friend works for a company that requires redundant backups. He has been using my FTP server to do the final backups of the information. He uses winrar to breakup and secure the information then uploads it using an ftp client manually. He has asked me if there was an easier way to do this. The files are upto 500MB a piece.
We are wondering if there is a process that could make this more of an automatic task rather than having to use a program to breakup and secure the files/archive, then using another program to upload them. The only requirement we ask is we would like to stay with FTP protocol because I already have other clients using this protocol to perform backups to my server. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks!
