Been helping someone running XP home and me XP Pro. I can do a lot of things when I take control of their system, but every now and then it just disconnects me. (the other user (relative) isn't doing it- it's a headache we're trying to fix)
For example, I send a message using the built in message thing and it disconnected me. It's been happening a lot.
I have my firewall disabled and they do too, but they use Nortons (Internet security, firewall, AV), so maybe there's a conflict there?
The other software on their PC is Office, Internet Explorer, Nero etc. The usual standard stuff. Nothing weird. Norton's been on since day 1 (and updated) and no viruses have been found.
