Can anyone tell me about remote access? How i can enable it and what its limits are?

For example, i wanna remotely access my sisters computer and download a few antispyware programs and do some stuff and set other things up...can i? Thanks

Honestly, if I were you I'd just use Ultr@VNC. Doesnt matter which OS you use on either computers and works just fine. If youre using windows xp youll have to unblock it in the windows firewall options.

For this task, your best option is probably "remote assistance" that is build into Windows XP. Have your sister to go Start, Help, and click on the link to get assistance. She'll send you an invitation that has a link you click on to share control of her computer.

so it would work then? awesome.

It might work then. There are lots of ways for firewalls to get in the way, at either end. It depends on how the local networks are setup and sometimes whether they have routers that do UPnP or not. Give it a try, but realize that it may not work right off the bat.

it has a free client... for now, but the rates they charge for their other services are not that bad... you can also combine accounts, have some free ones and some paid... check it out... works well if she is in another location behind another router.
