Remote access to newsgroups

I was wondering if there is any way to remotely access newsgroups. I have a Roadrunner connection here at home in Florida, and I want to be able to access this great newsgroup service back at college in NC. I really like the roadrunner newsgroups because they provide all of the popular groups, but I have WinXP here and I am wondering if there might be a clever way to tunnel to this computer allowing my college computer to get the RR newsgroups. If this computer here was running linux, it might not be too hard, but this is my parent's computer, so that isnt really a consideration. Thanks

If you have access to the news server there, it shouldn't be an issue. You can access any news server in the world with an account, unless it's buried behind a firewall. I use GigaNews and SuperNews, they're just public news servers.
