Remote access software........

I use LogMeIn to view my other computers while on the road, etc...

I am trying to help someone do something more covertly.. does anyone know a remote access program that installs very quickly, and can be easily used, etc??

ultra vnc was pretty easy for me to setup ... the hardest part being forwarding the router ports ... which obviously isn't hard, unless you can't log into the router

Remote Desktop is your best bet, but you'll only have that if you bought XP Pro or Vista Business.
