Remote Access fails during setup for Windows Home Server

I've tried setting up the remote access (RA) part of WHS. When I go to the RA section of the WHS console and click 'turn on' at the top, WHS checks everything except ""Verifying that your remote Web site is available from the Internet". I've forwarded ports 80, 4125, and 443 manually on my Linksys router (running tomato) and still no dice. What exactly am I doing wrong here? I am able to connect locally but not from outside my network (supposedly).

The built-in test won't necessarily tell you the truth. If you've forwwarded the ports and enabled remote access on WHS, go ahead and have somebody test it from an outside PC and see if it works.

Note: Some home-type routers won't allow you to test port forwarding from inside your own network.

That's interesting to know. I guess I will try it elsewhere. Thanks.

I figured out what the problem was. I had port forwarding for the ports going to my PS3 as well. I guess you cannot forward the same ports to two devices (If I'm wrong, please show me how to do this.).

Nope, you can't do that.
