"Reminiscent of Jan. 6': Violent protesters arrested after storming Interior Department, injuring officers

Video shows protesters pushing police as they attempt to gain access to the federal building

"Dozens of activists protesting fossil fuel projects were arrested Thursday in Washington, D.C., after they staged a sit-in at the Interior Department, a move that led to "multiple injuries" and at least one law enforcement officer being transported to a hospital.

Demanding that President Biden declare climate change an emergency, People vs. Fossil Fuels, the group responsible for the protest, organized a week-long series of demonstrations against the president as he approves different fossil fuel projects."

"Following the protest, Interior Department spokeswoman Melissa Schwartz released a statement through a series of tweets.

"Early this afternoon, a group of protestors entered the Stewart Lee Udall Main Interior Building," Schwartz wrote. "Federal Protective Service personnel responded to the area to mitigate the situation. Multiple injuries were sustained by security personnel, and one officer has been transported to a nearby hospital. Medics representing both the Department and the protesters were present."

She should have said insurrectionists or rioters or traitors. Amiright?

Ohhh those evil traitors, storming Federal buildings in our beloved nations capital and injuring our officers.

This event was nothing like 1/6, there was no attempt at stopping congress from doing its duty in the peaceful transfer of power as well as calling for the deaths of elected officials.

Your stupid tiny brain filled with all the stinky bullshit you've crammed in to it won't ever be able to recognize how 1/6 is not relatable to this incident or other similar ones. So take your hypocritical fake concern trolling and shove it right up your well used asshole bitch-boy.

So in your mind:
attempting to over throw the federal government, attacking police officers with bear spray, flag poles, and bashing police officers head in with a fire extinguisher
is equivalent
to a fossil fuel sit in gone bad*?

You are proof that conservativism rots the brain.

*and to be clear, the only thing that went bad here is the moron who decided to fight the police. A proper sit in is done with only the police committing acts of violence.

"multiple injuries" and one officer hospitalized, seems similar to me.

Obviously you didn't watch the videos attached to my links. I understand because the violence in them was pretty upsetting to delicate sensibilities.

Who did these people threaten to kill?
Who did these people try to kidnap?
Did they try to overthrow the results of a free and fair election.
Were they armed?

Nothing like Jan 6. Not much of an effort on your part. You need to try harder

Interesting that the OPs own sources emphasise how many were arrested at the protests. How many were arrested on the day in the Capitol attack?

Seems to emphasise yet again that leftist protests are much more heavily and effectively policed than right-wing ones.

Also, which democratic transition of power were these protestors attempting to prevent?

Underlined for emphasis. 1/6 was an attempted coup incited by a sitting POTUS who wanted to retain office after losing an election.

When protestors get rough and police are injured, or anyone gets injured, that is not a good thing, no matter what political faction is protesting. But gatherings aimed at disrupting a Constitutional transfer of power are not protests. They are insurrections. Such conduct threatens the stability of democracy itself.

Any attempts to compare this to any sort of protest based on officers injured, numbers of people involved, numbers of arrests, property damage, or any other criteria are therefore beyond absurd.

But the OP sucks hard at analogies. False analogies are is stock in trade.

Holy shit!! Good god taj, you are fucking dumb! Like really fucking stupid dumb! Did you even look at the pictures you posted?

Show us you aren’t just an idiotic, hypocritical traitor and that you actually do have some basic analytical skills and show/explain to us how this event was to what happened on 1/6.

Go ahead and provide the police chatter of the two events to show us you aren’t some brain dead idiot who has trouble with reality.

Go ahead and compare the number of people involved on both sides, the police and the protesters.

Go ahead and show us the various weapons and tools each law breaker from the two events used to hurt the police.

Go ahead and show us all the similarities between the two events when it comes to destruction of property.

And just for shits and giggles, show us your posts talking about what happened on 1/6 that day or even the week after.

Go ahead, convince us. Otherwise you’ve got nothing and are and will continue to be a pathetic looser with no friends or family who is brainwashed by right wing propaganda and who is incapable of original thought, and who is nothing but an old dying, lying piece of shit who has overstayed his welcome on this planet.

None of those are even valid criteria for comparison. You can't compare the two events. Conservatives think they can make comparisons with, say, the summer protests of last year. Liberals might want to compare this event to say, Charlottesville. You can compare a protest with another protest, but you cannot compare a protest with an insurrection. Because any such comparison entirely ignores the point of the event.

Don't play into his argument by even inviting such comparisons.

Article says "dozens of activists" yet the article title compares that to Jan 6?

50 people? Are you fucking serious? Yet another Fox News troll headline

In the clip I see around 15 people. That remotely compares to this?....

FYI one police and a insurectionist died.

Two of the latter, I believe. I actually felt a bit sorry for the one who wasn't Babbitt. First impression was she was just someone not-too-bright, and easily led.

Trampled by her fellow mob, while carrying a "don't tread on me" banner seems an especially poignant end.

If the Capitol insurrection had been as forcefully policed as most BLM or leftist protests, those two would probably still be alive. Slightly ironic that the failure of the authorities to take the threat from rightists seriously actually made the eventual outcome _worse_ for some of them.

It wasn't because in a Republican dystopia black people are the real enemy. Blacks suffer the consequences while whites get the rights.

Ron Johnson himself said as much

I was going to go into more detail about this.. but fuck it.. you never answer all my questions and are a insert anything
According to all the lefties in this forum, Ashley Babbit was a perfectly justified killing of a dangerous woman intent on murdering Government employees with her bare hands.

"According to those behind this week’s “People vs. Fossil Fuels Mobilization,” the final event on Friday at the Capitol spurred 90 arrests, rounding out the 655 total for the week. "

So far i've not seen the number of people involved in the protests/riots.

Ah yes, she was totally storming those barricades with a bunch of people who had professed plans to execute the people behind the barricades to what? Borrow a cup of sugar? Discuss crop rotation in the fourteenth century?

Once again I have my eyes. That's why people like you believed Trump when he claimed his inauguration crowd was bigger then Obamas

Also once again who did the climate protestors threaten to kill and which election did they attempt to overthrow.

Once more I suggest you look up the definition of insurrection. Somewhere other then Conservapedia
