the difficulty of Phantom Hourglass is much easier than previous Zelda games, but new items and DS-oriented gameplay makes it worthwhile i think.

Got it yesterday, so far way easier than previous Zelda games, but still a lot of fun. Very impressive graphics and sound to be pushed out of the DS.

I want a DS :(

but the psp has so much better graphics, gameplay, presentation, and hackability..

Better hackability? You can turn the DS into a music player, video player, homebrew game player, web browser, and it will accept standard miniSD cards.

I don't really like the controls very much. or rather, I should say I have mixed feelings. I like the targeted attack, but the un-targeted is annoying. And I have figured out a good way to walk around without covering part of the screen up... it's an issue with plenty of games for me.. ha

I like them, if only because it makes long trips/backtracking way, way faster. At first I thought it was silly to tap/slash an enemy to attack, but when you think about it, how different is that from pushing a button? I love plotting the course of your ship, but I wish there was some sort of short-range control that would let you check minor stuff out along your course. Rolling is nearly impossible to accomplish accurately, but so far is hardly used (I doubt it will be used heavily through the game).

All in all, the controls neither make nor break the game, IMO. After a couple minutes of playing, I don't even think about them, much like I would if using buttons.

Oh, controlling the boomerang by drawing is undoubtedly the best use of the control scheme I've yet encountered.

Oh wow, I completely forgot about this! It's been months since I touched my DS, but I will have to see if I can make it to the mall today and pick this up.
