Remind me how Halo 2 Ended

I am going to start Halo 3 tonight, but could someone please remind me how Halo 2 ended? it's been a while and I can't go back and replay the end cuz I no longer have my original xbox.

You may find the info on GameFaqs but I would bet almost anything you can find it on YouTube if you search for Halo 2 ending.

I read the Wikipedia link because I got sick of H2 and stopped playing halfway through, but I find I am glazing over just reading the synopsis. I will never understand how anyone regards the plots of the Halo games as interesting or creative - to me they are boring and unintelligible (and I am not a hater - I own all three games and bought the last two on launch day).

All the halo games are hype,nothing innovative at all.

Oh thanks, a hint at the ending of H3 in a thread about the ending of H2. Douchebag. I don't wanna know anything at all about H3 until I find it out for myself.
