Remember when you had "lives" in games?

Is this a counter-post to my Doom II post? 🙂 Just kidding
Yeah, Prince of Persia was one of them. I think it made games highly unrealistic even within their own concepts. Save/Load also kinda took care of lives.

and when you ran out of lives, you had to start over? Man, those were the days....

LMAO. I remember when LucasArts released Monkey Island and Loom and they were revolutionary new games where you couldn't get killed or trapped.
Great.

It's amazing...even after 15 years of playing the game, I still remember that. Except I always had to do "select start" since I played 2 players. =)

the ps gen will never appreciate the code nor having various "tricks" to get your NES games working.

i remember few years back a friend of mine brought his old school NES, and everyone was the "expert" in getting dusty old games to work, and tried all o their bag o tricks and after like 15mins, we finally got kung fu going. worth the wait tho 😀😀
